STUART, Fla. - June 15, 2020 - Seacoast’s rich legacy continues to grow and develop as we pursue our mission to help people improve their lives and build better communities. In an effort to help our customers achieve their financial dreams, our ability to scale the organization and enhance our capabilities requires the continued evolution of roles while challenging us to do new and exciting things. Today, I’m proud to announce Chuck Shaffer is being promoted to President/Chief Operating Officer (COO) effective immediately and will become Chief Executive Officer (CEO) and member of the Board Of Directors at year end.
This transition in leadership is in line with a careful and methodical plan we’ve had in place for some time. During the past several years, Chuck has demonstrated, through his excellent execution of our balanced growth strategy, that he is the right person to lead Seacoast. He’s been instrumental in positioning Seacoast for what will be a vibrant future.
At year end, I will assume the role of Executive Chairman of the Board of Directors. While my role will change, my commitment to ensuring Seacoast Bank continues to outperform is stronger than ever. Together, we will continue to evolve our company while preserving our culture and carrying on our legacy of customer service and support for the communities we serve.
There are some additional promotions I’m pleased to announce today. Tracey Dexter, who joined Seacoast in January 2017 as our controller, is being promoted to EVP, Chief Financial Officer. Jay Walker, who joined Seacoast in 2010, and is our current Treasurer and Director of FP&A, is being promoted to EVP, Treasurer & Director of Corporate Strategy. Jennifer Reissman, who joined Seacoast in 2014, and is our current director of marketing, is being promoted to EVP, Chief Marketing Officer.
Chuck, Tracey, Jay, and Jen are all talented leaders and share a common vision for Seacoast’s continued growth and success. I have the utmost confidence in them and the rest of the executive team and am excited about the future.
Congratulations to all on these well-deserved promotions.
Let’s continue to do great things,
Dennis S. Hudson III
Chairman and CEO, Seacoast Bank
